Section 83
Able to give instructions

(1) The office may periodically or casually inspect whether or not the employer has implemented safety and health measures.
(2) During the inspection according to sub-section (1), if it is found that the employer has not made arrangements related to safety and health in the workplace in accordance with this Act or prevailing laws, the office shall specify a period of time and instruct the concerned employer to make such arrangements. However, if there is a threat to the safety and health of the workers or other people or an adverse effect on the environment, if such arrangements are not made immediately, instructions should be given to make such arrangements immediately.
(3) The office may instruct the employer to provide necessary information and details regarding accidents, occupational diseases or health and safety of workers and other persons.
(4) It shall be the duty of the concerned employer to ensure that the instructions given under sub-section (2) or (3) are followed.
